Step 4 of 4 - Website

Step 4 - Website

Make BoxEx Part Of Your Pitch To Every Prospect.

Every person who visits your site before they join is evaluating you against other options. BoxEx is a genuine differentiator. This step makes sure they see it - and understand what it means before they ever walk in the door.

Why This Step Matters

Your Website Is Where Decisions Get Made

Most people who find your gym online visit your site before they ever contact you. That visit is where they decide if you are worth their time. National access through BoxEx is a benefit no independent gym had before. If it is not on your site, it does not exist in their mind.

This step has four parts. The first two are for this week. The third takes ten minutes. The fourth is a once-a-year play that builds loyalty and visibility at the same time.

Do This First 1

Add BoxEx to Your Homepage and Build a Travel Page

Two moves here. First, add a line or section to your homepage that tells every prospect their membership includes national access. Second, build a dedicated travel page on your site that explains exactly what BoxEx means for your members.

Why this converts: A prospect comparing your gym to a competitor who does not have BoxEx sees an immediate differentiator. National access sounds like something big gyms have. You have it. Say so.

Option A - Short Version

[Gym Name] is part of the BoxEx network - a nationwide community of CrossFit gyms. Your membership here gives you access to train at partner gyms across the country when you travel. No extra cost. No awkward calls. Just show up and train.

Option B - Full Version

[Gym Name] is a BoxEx affiliate - part of a growing national network of CrossFit gyms that share membership access across the country. When you join here, your membership travels with you. Find a BoxEx gym wherever you are headed, show up, and train like you belong there - because you do. It is already included in your membership. No fees, no forms, no starting over.

Build a Travel Page on Your Site

A dedicated travel page gives your members a place to send their friends and gives prospects a deeper look at the benefit. Use the copy below to build it. See the sample page for a reference on layout and structure.

Page headline: Your Membership Does Not Stop When You Leave Town.

Subhead: [Gym Name] is part of BoxEx - a nationwide network of CrossFit gyms that share membership access. That means when you travel, you train.

Body: Find a BoxEx gym near where you are staying. Show up at class time. Train like you belong there - because as a [Gym Name] member, you do. There is no extra fee, no permission to ask, and no starting over in an unfamiliar place. Your community travels with you.

Why it matters: CrossFit built its reputation on community. BoxEx connects that community across the country. When you are a [Gym Name] member, you are not just part of one gym - you are part of a national network of people who train the same way, value the same things, and welcome each other everywhere.

Print the Awareness Poster and Put It In Your Gym

Download the BoxEx poster, print it at Staples on 11x17 good paper, and put it somewhere visible inside your gym. Your members see it every session and visiting athletes see it the moment they walk in.

Where to put it: Near the whiteboard, at the front desk, or on the wall by the entrance. Anywhere athletes have their phone out and a moment to read it.

The poster does two things. It reminds your existing members that their membership includes national access - which builds perceived value. And it tells visiting athletes who walk in that your gym is part of something bigger, which makes them want to come back.

Add the BoxEx Badge to Your Website Footer

Add the BoxEx logo badge to the footer of your website. It takes about ten minutes. It tells every visitor - prospect or returning member - that your gym is part of a national network. The badge links to a page that explains what BoxEx is so your site does not have to do all the work.

This is how the badge will appear on your site

How to Add It

1
Download the badge image below

Save it to your computer. You will upload it to your site builder.

2
Open your website footer in your site builder

In WordPress, Squarespace, or your custom builder, find the footer section and add an image block.

3
Upload the badge and link it

Upload the image and set the link destination to: BADGE-LINK-HERE

4
Set the image width to 120-160px and save

Keep it clean and proportional. It does not need to be large - just visible alongside your other footer elements.

Do not have a web designer? If your site is on WordPress or Squarespace and you get stuck, send an email to your web person with the badge image attached and this instruction: "Please add this image to our site footer and link it to BADGE-LINK-HERE." That is the whole brief.

Long-Term Play - Not This Week 4

Run an Annual Review Drive With a Free Shirt

This one is not for today. Once a year - around the CrossFit Open, your gym anniversary, or any moment worth celebrating - run a review drive where every member who leaves a Google review gets a free exclusive gym shirt. New design each year.

The math on shirts: If giving a shirt to every member keeps even a handful of them for one extra month, it pays for every shirt in the batch. And every person wearing your gym name around town is a walking conversation starter for someone thinking about CrossFit.

When it is time to run it, the announcement is simple:

Annual Event Announcement Script

"Hey team - we are doing our annual review drive. Everyone who leaves us a Google review this week gets this year's [Gym Name] shirt. New design, free, yours. All we need is your shirt size and a review. Here is the link: [REVIEW LINK]."

Say it in class, put it in the group chat, send it in an email. Run it for one week. Order shirts after you have the sizes. Done.

You Are All Set Up.

Your gym is connected. Your members know. Your new member flow is running. Your site tells the story. That is it - BoxEx is working for your gym now.
