Install BoxEx Into Your New Member Flow.

This step has three parts. Set up the automated email that every new member gets, install it in your CRM, and then run two quick campaigns to the people who already know your gym but have gone quiet.

The Infrastructure That Makes Everything Else Work

Joining BoxEx gives you something real to offer. But that value only lands if people hear about it at the right moment. New members need to hear it on day one. Past members and prospects need a reason to come back. This step handles all three.

The new member email runs automatically forever once you set it up. The reactivation campaigns you send once. Together they can put new members in the door before you finish onboarding.

Priority Task 1

Add a BoxEx Email to Your New Member Sequence

In your CRM, add one automated email that goes out to every new member within the first two days of joining. It introduces BoxEx as part of their membership. Set it once and it runs on its own from that point forward.

Why day 1 or 2 matters: New members are most engaged in their first week. Introducing BoxEx early makes it part of how they understand their membership - not an afterthought they hear about months later.

Hey [First Name],

Welcome to [Gym Name]. You made a great decision and we are fired up to have you here.

One thing we want you to know about right away: your membership here gives you access to the BoxEx network - a nationwide group of CrossFit gyms that welcome each other's members when they travel.

That means if you are ever away from home and want to train, you can find a BoxEx gym, show up, and train like you belong there - because you do.

You do not need to do anything right now. It is already part of your membership. Just know it is there when you need it.

We will see you in the gym.

Install It In Your CRM

Select your CRM below for a step-by-step walkthrough on exactly where to add the email.

1Log into your Wodify admin dashboard and go to Communications in the left sidebar.
2Select Automated Emails then find or create your new member onboarding sequence.
3Add a new email at Day 1 or Day 2 and paste the script above. Set the trigger to Membership Start Date.
4Save and activate. Every new member receives it automatically from this point forward.
1Log into PushPress and go to Automations in the main menu.
2Find your existing new member automation or create one. Set the trigger to Member Created.
3Add an Email action at Day 1 or Day 2 and paste the script above.
4Save and activate. It runs automatically for every new member from here.
1Log into Zen Planner and navigate to Setup then Email Automations.
2Open your new member drip sequence or create a new automation with the trigger set to Membership Start.
3Add a new message at Day 1 or Day 2. Paste the email script above and fill in your gym name and coach name.
4Activate the sequence. New members receive it automatically going forward.
1Log into Mindbody and go to Marketing then Automated Emails.
2Select New Client from the automation triggers and open your existing sequence or create a new one.
3Add an email step at Day 1 or Day 2. Paste the script above and fill in your gym name and coach name.
4Save and activate. The email goes out automatically to every new member from this point on.

The concept is the same regardless of what system you use. Here is what you are looking for:

1Find the section of your CRM that handles automated emails or member sequences. It may be called automations, drip campaigns, or email workflows.
2Locate your new member onboarding sequence. If you do not have one, create a simple one with this as the first email.
3Add the email script above at Day 1 or Day 2. Set the trigger to fire when a new membership starts.
4Activate and send yourself a test. Once live, every new member gets it automatically.

Send Two Campaigns to the People Who Already Know You

You have two lists sitting in your CRM right now that most gym owners never use: past members who cancelled and past prospects who inquired but never joined. Both of those lists have people who already know your gym. You just gave them a new reason to come back.

BoxEx is that reason. Nationwide access did not exist when they left or when they first looked. It does now. Send each group one email today.

Train at any BoxEx affiliate in the country. Show up, work out, leave. No fees, no awkward calls, no starting over in a new gym.

We know life gets busy and circumstances change. We are not here to pressure you. But if the idea of a membership that does not stop when you leave town sounds like something that would have made a difference before - we wanted you to know it exists now.

These are people who inquired, maybe visited, but never joined. They were interested once. The timing or the value was not quite right. You now have something new to offer that was not there when they first looked.

You reached out to [Gym Name] a while back. We never want to be the gym that nags - but we did want to share something that changed since you last heard from us.
